Programmable temperature converter
The converter is designed for converting a signal from thermocouple into the normalized current signal 4 ÷ 20 mA. This converter is microprocessor controlled and allows the user to program a type of connected thermocouple and measured range of temperatures in simply way. It is possible to program the converter through the RS232 serial link from personal computer IBM PC. The measurement of temperature itself is ensured by the accurate 16 bit AD converter, galvanically separated from the input signal of 16 bit DA converter. The temperature compensation of the cold end of thermocouple is secured. Power supply of the converter is 230 V/50 Hz. The converter may be equipped with RS485 serial interface and thereby it is able to communicate directly with a superior system. In special cases the software may be customized to the customer needs. Entire converter is located in a plastic box with dimensions of 45 x 75 x 110 mm, which is designed for the mounting on strip DIN 35 mm.
